How QualsNet verification works

Not every awarding organisation offers a way for a third party to confirm a certificate. Where an independent pathway exists, we use it. Where it does not, we review the evidence a trainer supplies and say so plainly. We never present those two things as the same thing, and we never publish a single blanket "verified" tick.

There is no trust score, verification score or reliability score on QualsNet. The only public numerical score for a trainer is their average review rating from completed work.

QualsNet independently confirmed this credential through an available awarding-organisation verification pathway — their public register, a verification portal, a direct API, or a written confirmation from the organisation held on file. An administrator records the source they checked before this status can be applied.

This pathway is not available for every awarding organisation. Where it is not, the highest status a credential can reach is Certificate Reviewed.

QualsNet reviewed the evidence supplied by the trainer — typically a certificate — and found it consistent and legible. This credential has not been independently confirmed with the awarding organisation.

Certificate Reviewed never satisfies a requirement for Awarding Organisation Verified. If a business requires independent confirmation, a reviewed certificate will not qualify.

AI may assist QualsNet administrators by extracting information from uploaded documents and identifying inconsistencies. AI does not independently verify qualifications or determine the final verification status.

Every status on QualsNet is set by a named administrator, recorded with the method and source used, and kept in an audit trail. Trainers cannot set or change their own verification status.

A credential's status depends on its recorded expiry date. Trainers are reminded at 90, 60, 30 and 7 days, and once the date passes the credential is shown as Expired — however thoroughly it was verified before.

An expired credential never satisfies a requirement for a current qualification. When a trainer submits renewal evidence the credential returns to review; the previous verification history is retained and never deleted.

QualsNet provides information about the checks it has carried out. Businesses remain responsible for determining whether a trainer and their credentials meet their own legal, operational, insurance and awarding-body requirements.

QualsNet does not guarantee the authenticity of any document, the suitability of any trainer, or compliance with any particular standard, and does not verify credentials with every awarding body.
